Meet the Team

Our team consists of dedicated individuals who ensure the smooth running of our events. Regardless of position all are friendly and approachable, so feel free to ask any questions. Here are the roles they play:

Head Ref: The head ref oversees the entire event, and lead on cosmology and the overall direction of the game.

Ref: Refs help write the events and at the event run encounters.

DPC: DPCs (Directed Player Characters) are refs based in the player-base, guiding the narrative and helping other players while participating in the game. They can often be a first port of call for questions and are there to help your game.

Arran Hopper - Chicken Tendies (He/Him)

Arran Hopper - Chicken Tendies (He/Him)

Position: Head Ref

Don't let his youthful vigour fool you, Arran has been LARPing for over a decade. As one of the two creators of Wilde Realms, he focuses on the cosmology and story telling, aiming to bring thought provoking stories for your characters to play out.

Moss Briggs - Problem Child (They/Them)

Moss Briggs - Problem Child (They/Them)

Position: Head Ref

Beard full of crafting glue and ready to ref. Eager to get into a good scrap when given the chance. As one of the two creators of Wilde Realms, they focus on leading the large crafting builds and the on pre and post game logistics.

Andrew Lamb - Mad Lad (He/They)

Andrew Lamb - Mad Lad (He/They)

Position: Ref

Has been LARPing for over 10 years at this point in a variety of systems. Tends to play more adviser characters, rather than the centre of attention so a transition to reffing was natural. Enjoys IC crafting and pulling people into roleplay to find unusual solutions to problems.

Babs Doodkorte - Clippy (They/She)

Babs Doodkorte - Clippy (They/She)

Position: Ref

Named Clippy for their uncanny ability to be on top of things, Babs loves facilitating emotional roleplay moments and ensuring hydration across the board. Whispers say Clippy derives their powers from somewhere in the Wilde Realms Pantheon.

James Pemberton - Top Shelf (He/Him)

James Pemberton - Top Shelf (He/Him)

Position: Ref

James Top Shelf Pemberton, named for his utterly egregious height, enjoys seeing heros stare down impossible odds and loves when they come out on top. New to reffing they are excited to see what great adventures the next game brings.

Rose Olding - Kool Aid (She/Her)

Rose Olding - Kool Aid (She/Her)

Position: Ref

Rose is a writer at heart, often known for coming up with some of the wackier ideas in the team, but at her core loves telling intriguing stories and making the prop builders gape in disbelief at ridiculous suggestions. Never one to say no to a role, you can see her playing all sorts of NPC's in the field with passion and exuberance.

Brogan Pryor - Princess (He/Him)

Brogan Pryor - Princess (He/Him)

Position: DPC - Ref

Has an inclination towards the high risk, right reward roleplay and to spread as much fun and challenges to other players as possible. Enjoys playing both the loud and the quiet types, with a flair for the dramatic and spiritual/religious influences. First time reffing, and promises to do their best for all. Favorite hobby: being kidnapped.

El Weaver - Dysfunction (They/Any)

El Weaver - Dysfunction (They/Any)

Position: DPC - Ref

El's 3 Gs of LARP are Gossip Gambles and Gasps, if you're doing something surprising, risky, or otherwise worth talking about it's right up their alley. El believes that characters should be here for a good time not a long time, and playing it cautious and safe is for real life not for the Wilde Realm. The perfect DPC to turn to when your character is in trouble (they've probably been there).
